Engrams is the project of artist, musician and former library scientist Φaunes of Antioquia, Colombia.

The album was recorded live at multiple bedroom/home studios in 2017 using both analogue and digital equipment.

Φaunes was involved in the creation of all of the tracks, and worked in collaboration with a number of local musicians to create a loose, genre hopping collection, touching on kraut, dub, no-wave and psych, but all with a single connecting root. According to Φaunes:

"Engrams have no concept but the memory constructed by music, in this case is delivered by collective resonance (and dissonance) through totally experimental creative processes between various Medellin-based artists with different music styles."
